Best paper award in MICRO'08 for Prof. Chakrabarti and team: Best paper award in MICRO'08 for "From SODA to Scotch: The Evolution of a Wireless Baseband Processor". This work was done in collaboration with Univ. of Michigan and ARM, Ltd.
Prof. Lina Karam is the lead guest editor on a special issue on Visual Media Quality Assessment of the IEEE Journal of Selected Topics on Signal Processing.

AME/EE Student IGERT Fellow Gordon Wichern Receives Paper Award, June 2007

Mahesh Banavar, EE Ph.D. student and TA, was selected as a recipient of the 2008-2009 Teaching Excellence Award by the Awards Program Committee of the Graduate and Professional Student Association (GPSA). The award ceremony was held at the University Club March 19, 2009. He received a plaque and a check for $350. The plaque citation is "for outstanding performance and lasting contribution as a graduate student teacher."

Mahesh is with the EE Systems Area and the SenSIP center performing research in Multicareer systems and sensors with Cihan Tepedelenlioglu. He is also member of the ASU Preparation for faculty program.
