Message from the Assistant Dean:

It is a pleasure to welcome you to this SenSIP workshop New Applications of Signal Processing in MRI. Arizona State University and the Barrow Neurological Institute have recently signed a memorandum of understanding that provides a framework for growing our base of collaborative research. The Fulton School of Engineering, in particular, is eager to explore opportunities to further grow our activities in the regime of biomedical imaging. We offer formidable capabilities in signal processing, image processing, bioengineering, and several other relevant areas of engineering and computational science. Developing collaborative relationships within ASU and also with a broad  base of external experts in this area, including colleagues present at this workshop, to leverage our strengths is essential as we push forward in this direction.

We at ASU are especially grateful to those of you who have taken time from your end-of-term schedules to participate in this activity. We hope you will find this workshop beneficial to your own endeavors and particularly that this workshop will launch fruitful future interactions.

Douglas Cochran,
Assistant Dean for Research, Fulton School of Engineering, ASU.
